COVID-19 and Network Innovations

A letter from Network Innovations President, Derek Dawson to our clients and partners.

Dear Valued Partner,

No doubt by now you have heard from many organizations with whom you do business regarding the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and, probably like yourselves, we are concerned about its effect on the health of our colleagues, their families, and our communities generally. Things are moving fast and changing quickly as the world responds to this crisis.

I want to take a moment to personally assure you that we remain ready and capable of supporting your operations through this challenging time.

To ensure the continuity of our operations we have:

  1. Been actively managing our supply chain.  We maintain adequate stock levels of equipment at our various locations and have visibility into the manufacturing and distribution of our critical suppliers.  However, please do keep us informed of upcoming orders so that we may continue to be adequately prepared;
  2. Ensured that our personnel are keeping their colleagues and your team safe through limiting non-essential travel, implementing quarantines on persons returning from risk areas, pre-screening personnel before travel to customer sites, increasing social distance at our facilities, enhancing disinfecting and cleaning routines, requiring anyone who is potentially sick or with a compromised immune system or other risk factors to stay home, among other measures; and
  3. Identified key risk points among personnel, logistics, and our network infrastructure and put in place various measures to ensure business continuity such as rotations by designated persons in and out of the office, enhancing our ability to work securely from home, and pre-purchasing and positioning redundant infrastructure.  These are enhanced measures as our regular business continuity planning has our Network Operations Center (NOC) and Customer Service teams as well as our Data Centers, for example, already distributed among redundant locations.

Our Executive Team continues to assess the situation throughout each day, adjusting our response as necessary.  The entire Network Innovations team, including our colleagues at NIC4 and Fusion Marine, are committed to ensuring that you succeed, whatever your mission, during these unprecedented times.  If there is any way whatsoever that we can assist you, please do not hesitate to contact your account manager or our customer service teams.
