VMS is a satellite surveillance system primarily used to monitor the location and movement of commercial fishing vessels in the U.S. Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and treaty areas.  The system uses satellite based communications from on-board transceiver units.  Network Innovations has created a unique VMS Package solution that contains*:

  • SAILOR 6150 – 3027 VMS Antenna
  • SAILOR 3042E Distress Panel
  • SAILOR 6194 Terminal Control Unit:
    • Window/Android operating system
    • Wheel marked marinised touch screen pre-installed with NMFS forms – support VMS catch reporting and declaration documents exchange
    • Operates on 10v DC-32v DC floating power supply
    • Meets INMARSAT specifications for non-SOLAS ship earth stations with distress calling and MES class 2
    • LocPoint tracking service
    • Compatible with optional SAILOR® AIS/NAVTEX   systems
