Iridium Direct Internet Software Upgrade Required

Effective 1 October 2016, Iridium Direct Internet will be undergoing an upgrade.  The Iridium Direct Internet Service is a data service where Iridium Subscribers are able to connect directly to the Internet by using the Iridium Satellite Terminal as a modem.  The service upgrade impacts Windows XP, Windows VISTA, Windows 7 and MAC IOS operating systems. The new Iridium Direct Internet product version will require users to change the Windows PC or MAC IOS Direct Internet Software currently being used to a new package version.  The new software is available at:

(Note: The upgrade affects all Direct Internet Users which may include products not listed above)

 

After 31 October 2016, any Iridium Direct Internet user who has not upgraded from the current software to the new software package will not be able to use the Direct Internet Service.
