SATRAD

SATRAD is a unique offering that provides two-way push to talk radio via satellite.  The system integrates with existing land mobile radio networks to augment public safety communications in three critical ways:

1) Extend Radio Coverage

SATRAD extends your radio network coverage across North America enabling you to have connectivity across the continent.  SATRAD is a cost effective way to extend your network without the expense and time constraints of building new radio towers and running fiber lines.  SATRAD systems can be deployed quickly to give you coverage within the areas that your public safety officers operate.

2) Emergency Backup Communications

Since SATRAD is satellite based, it isn’t susceptible to the typical outages caused by man-made or natural disasters that can easily disable terrestrial communications infrastructure.  This makes SATRAD ideal as an emergency backup solution to your existing radio operations.  In the event that a fiber line is severed or cellular towers are overloaded or your radio towers are damaged by earthquakes, hurricanes or floods, you can use SATRAD portable kits for easy deployment into vehicles or at remote sites for emergency response operations.

3) Interoperable Communications Between Public Safety Agencies

SATRAD provides a means for interoperable communications between public safety agencies.  SATRAD operates on talk groups allowing agencies that work together to be subscribed into the same talk group to enable inter-agency communications between first responders, police, fire, EMS and other public safety officers.

VSAT

Network Innovations VSAT services provide high speed Internet connectivity for all IP applications including video, voice over IP (VOIP) and radio over IP (ROIP).  Our solutions include auto-pointing systems which can be mounted on emergency response vans or trailers or at your headquarters for emergency backup Internet communications.

BGAN

BGAN (Broadband Global Area Network) provides small terminals the size of a laptop computer which can be used for both Internet and telephone services.  These devices are ideal for emergency backup communications or covert operations that require small and discreet systems for Internet data communications.

Remote Surveillance

For video surveillance either in-vehicle or fixed mounted, Network Innovations provides video encoders and viewing systems that optimize and compress video for ease of transfer over satellite, cellular or other low speed communications links.  These systems allow remote control of camera equipment, archiving of data and viewing of the video stream via a PC, iPhone or Android device.
